Who We Are

Solvetronics is an electronics engineering workshop based in Reykjavík, Iceland. We design and build custom-made solutions for problems that off-the-shelf equipment doesn't cover — from the initial circuit through to a working unit installed and running. Whether the need is a single one-off device or a small series, the work is handled end to end. Projects range from bridging incompatible equipment and adding sensors to existing systems, to automation and control for industrial, marine, and private applications.

Founded by a mechatronics engineer with over 20 years of professional experience spanning ship electronics, PCB assembly, SMT production, AV systems, IoT, and embedded development, backed by a BS in Engineering Technology with a focus on digital electronics and microcontroller systems. That work has covered ships, production lines, and installations where equipment has to keep running in difficult conditions, while embedded systems and IoT have been a long-standing personal interest alongside it. Each of those settings brings its own constraints, and they shape how a solution gets designed and built.
